Radical Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

This chapter has forever changed how I view the crucifixion,  especially pages 34-36.  Any "light bulb" moments for you?

Ladies:  my prayer for you is that He would make you hungry:
1) Hungry for more of His word
2) Hungry for more time with His kids
3) Hungry for more chances to lead
4) Hungry for more chances to grow
5)  Any "hunger" you would like me to add to my prayer?

  1. I pray for continued hunger to learn. Yesterday being with the other coaches really inspired me. I am not too proud to admit that I haven't been giving it my all. I realized talking to Jennifer Davis on Saturday that if I only have 1 person show up to huddle, that is obviously 1 person God has arranged for me to spend time with.

I want others to have the same hungers that we do. I want our ministry to be such a system that parents walk through and think "holy crap they really have it together" I want kids to leave and be so excited about what they learned, they can't help but share it with their parents. There is NOTHING that gets me more excited than when our littles "get it". What if there are some new believers with kids in our area. (I know this has happened more than once). I can't tell you the stories I have learned from these kids stories. I am confident that there are parents who learn stories for the first time from their kids. What if we had the passion these people in the book had to learn about God and His word?

You HAD to know I was going to bring up Judah. The first sermon I heard him preach was at Catalyst. His "left hook" was "Since When is Jesus Not Enough?" I know we all love our nice church and the facilities we have. We look forward to the new building where we will have space for days. But if we are not using our gifts to teach the word of God, the point is gone.

My light bulb moment didn't come from the book or a particular page so to speak. It came from a youtube video. It DID remind me of the people in China hungry for the word. Here it goes!

Try to look at your bible the same; When I imagined the circle of puddles, this is the group I imagined shedding the tears.
